Content We Liked: 2nd July, 2023

Although it’s a big internet out there, the Tabletop digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed.

On the Internet at Large

Starting off this week with a bit of a Star Wars kick. First up this extremely slick ARC Trooper squad for Legion. You’ve got the freehanded squad markings, the extremely crisp highlighting, the blends on the ends of the squad’s blasters. But then you go and top it off with some extremely cute pets for the squad? Pure CWL material.

Don’t know what to do with your unused head options? Well, Shatterpoint is the same scale as some other tabletop games…

Next up we have the end of endless, tedious “Who Would Win” arguments (we hope, we pray) with the happy coincidence that Shatterpoint heads are perfectly sized for 40k Marines. Not only is this just a great paintjob in general, but the freehanded clan markings and the clever bit of turning a chainsword into the Darksabre really pushes this clever lil’ bit right into awesome.

This is one of those entries we feature where we REALLY recommend you click through to the whole thread, with Greenstuffnglue recreating faction symbols out of spare parts of said faction’s kits. The WIP pics are extremely cool and we can only imagine just how meticulously careful you have to be with such a project.

It was only a matter of time until we saw people turning the Arbites Kill Team into Dredd but this one goes the extra mile in recreating the garish of the original Dredd comics. This is an Arbite that’ll punch a skeleton in the face.

Hell yeah, the Axeman rocks and so does this paintwork. The latest Battletech minis can feel a lil’ soft compared to the plastics of other games, but a damn good lick of paint really makes ’em shine.
