Content We Liked: 16th April, 2023

Although it’s a big internet out there, the Tabletop digital universe is pretty small and spread out. In Content We Liked, we take a look at the articles, videos, podcasts, and products that caught our eyes or were noteworthy during the prior week you might have missed.

On the Internet at Large

Kicking things off this week with a neat and simple conversion, taking an Ork Buggy and replacing the crew with gangers to make the perfect gang hotrod is such a simple but fantastic idea executed so well, with particular props to the striking reflections in the very shiny chrome. Witnessed!

Following up with another conversion, this time seeing the Great Khan himself reposed and reworked to represent him fighting at the Siege of Terra. It’s a fantastic piece of conversion and the muted tones really set a grim mood.

And then at the complete opposite of the conversion scale we have… a Gundam made out of Star Destroyers. Are Gunpla fans okay? What universal truths do they glimpse when they close their eyes? This is terrifyingly cool.

Continuing on to some far smaller mechs, we have a wonderful bit of hobby positivity with ZamPainting comparing some of their earliest models to their latest. Very aspirational.

Competitive Play

40k takes a slight breather after the excitement of the last two weeks to look at the final balance patch for the current edition, while AoS braces itself for a big meta shift after the drop of a big raft of warscroll changes. Meanwhile, MECHAHAMMER gasps one last robot-y breath with a ranking of each of Infinity’s TAG suits, and our Mechwarriors comment on tiny puny infantry to step on with their Mechs.
